Awake: 5:49am Temp 67 sleep 6+30 overcast—(3) hrs later, heavy rain overnight, Nicktown.

K & I join the KK meeting @ 8:30am for an hr & then exercise for (1.5) hrs. We had plans to visit the Foote grandchildren today & do an outside activity…but not since the heavy deluge. Kathy calls Melissa & suggests we pick another day, although Matthew was not so accepting & needed a little convincing, she had no problem with that.

After our late breakfast, we motor to Johnstown & pickup our Eureka Vacuum cleaner parts; there were no charges. We thanked Ernie for his good work & then called my cousin Rita who lives just up the road; soon to be (90) yrs young. She invites us to pay a visit. Rita has (11) children, grown of course, with (2) daughters visiting her now. Rita does look her age but her mind is still very sharp. After a good (1.5) hr gab session & a cheesecake smothered with cherry sauce, we continue on our way to Nicktown….just in time for a walk to 6:00pm Mass. Afterward, we spend some time talking with Florentz, Anna & John B. outside the church.

Evening time: watch: “The O’Reilly Factor” & more of Samantha Brown’s travel tours.

Dinner: Power burger, fried noodles, fruit salad & Bing Cherries.

Late evening: DVR movie: “Along Came Jones” with Gary Cooper, Loretta Young, William Demarest, Dan Duryea, etc. (3) stars are most ingratiating in very low-key, leisurely Western spoof, with Cooper (who also produced) mistaken for notorious outlaw Duryea. 1945. You’ll enjoy this if you’re a Loretta Young fan (which I am); nevertheless, Kathy was again happy the movie was short.
Lights out: 12:20am
