Awake: 6:01am Temp 62 sleep 6+13 drizzle, morning hrs overnight @ Nicktown.
K & I attend 8:00 am Mass & then join the KK for (1.4) hrs. Janet L brings freshly baked cinnamon rolls to celebrate Kathy & Betty K’s birthdays (2) days early. Birthdays usually bring in the seldom seen members. Afterward, K & I exercise for (1.5) hrs.
Back in our coach, there is a message waiting for Kathy from Ken D, the lawnmower man. Kathy returns his call & informs me that Ken D has a 1986 yr Snapper mower available. Exciting news….we waste no time getting to North Spangler & Ken’s lawnmower shop. The mower looks good & starts right up on 1st pull. It kinda took me by surprise because I didn’t expect the mower to look so good & have the extra features: (6) speeds, electric start, easy bag removal & safety features. I suggested to Ken that if he would give us a new spark plug & replace the cracked flap on the back, he would have a deal; he agreed & will try & have it ready on Monday. Only thing left to do now is figure out how to get it delivered.
Dinner: left over crab cakes from Wal-Mart & salmon patties with rice & salad.
Zack calls from Seattle; 1st he was walking to get his car from the parking garage, then driving to pick up Katie @ their rental house & take her to the doctor. She’s had a temperature for about (3) days now & is tired of whatever is bugging her. We talk for about (20) min.
Watch DVR movie: “President’s Analyst” with James Coburn, Godfrey Cambridge, Severn Darden Joan Delaney, etc. Totally nutty, brilliantly maneuvered satire of many sacred cows, as Coburn is pursued by half the government when he quits title job. The ending is a beauty. 1967. Nutty, goofy, silly etc, but true satire. It could be your cup of tea, it sure wasn’t Kathy’s.
