Awake: 4:55am Temp 51 sleep 5+57 sunny overnight @ Nicktown, PA.

Drive to the community center & attend 8:00am Mass; afterwards Kathy joins the Koffee Klub meeting while I return to our bus & wait for Ken to deliver his mower with the brush hog attachment. As it turned out, Ken was running late & Kathy returned from the meeting before Ken arrived.

My mowing began @ 10:30am, about the same time Kathy left to visit the Foote family & to do some shopping in Indiana, PA. After (2) hrs of mowing, I take a (10) min break; (3) mowing hrs later, another break to get diesel fuel in Barnesboro, followed by another 1.3 hrs of mowing. Then a shower & change of clothes; Kathy returns from shopping & the Foote visit @ 5:35. We attend the 6:00pm vigil Mass, then it’s back on the tractor for more mowing from 7:15pm to 9:30pm; then another shower & change of clothes. My mowing includes another section of our property that I’ve never mowed before. Now that numerous pine trees are cut down & mulched, that area is slowly being cleaned up with the mowing; about 30% yet to finish.

Late dinner: BLT with a salad.

Later movie: “Marty” with Ernest Borgnine, Betsy Blair, Joe Mantell, Joe De Santis, Esther Minciotti, etc. Borgnine shines as a Bronx butcher who unexpectedly finds love. 1955. A great story; we both enjoyed it.

High temp=73 Lights out: 12:30am
