Awake: 5:40am Temp 68 sleep 6+18 foggy morning overnight @ Nicktown, PA.
K & I attend 8:00am Mass & afterward, join the Koffee Klub. At the meeting, Al K. gives us a detailed report of his trip with Father Job & 16 other people from the local area to a mission orphanage in Honduras. It was Al’s 1st trip to a 3rd world country & he was quite surprised at the degree of poverty of the city they were near. He shared interesting personal stories of his encounters with some of the orphans & other Hondurans. After the meeting, K & I exercise for (65) min.
Early afternoon, Kathy does a little shopping down in the town of Barnesboro.
I make a check on the air conditioning installation process @ the church hall & according to the workers, it’s coming along fine.
Back @ the bus, I go thru the stack of mail that was forwarded from Alaska.
Dinner: Leftover Italian sausage with pasta, ham with pineapple, coleslaw, eggplant, & zucchini & tomato.
Evening movie: “Friends with Money” with Catherine Keener, Jennifer Aniston, Frances McDormand, John Cusack, etc. Wry slice of life examining the fault lines in the friendship of (4) women, (3) of whom are married & prosperous, one of whom (Aniston) is single, unhappy & resentful. Good performances & sharp observations about marriage, money & middle age make this a winner. 2006. So, add it to your list.
