Awake: 5:55am Temp 53 sleep 5+58 sunny overnight @ Nicktown.

K & I walked to 8:00am Mass & discovered a nice change; this Mass now has a cantor & his voice is wonderful.

For breakfast, Kathy made us sourdough pancakes, eggs over easy & bacon.

Mid afternoon, we motored up to Ebensburg for yet another birthday celebration. The weather was just as nice as yesterday so we hung out on the porch deck. We had a good ole time with a smaller group (7) & later, (1) more. The leftovers were equally as tasty as yesterday & the "Happy Birthday, Corinne" song was sung without a flaw. Corinne hinted about ice cream & secretly Craig snuck out & made it happen.

About 7:30 our little group began breaking up for the evening, K & I thanked Don & Josie again for their invitation & excellent meals; then said our goodbyes & safe travels to their (2) children, (Kelly & her children left before we got there) & Corinne, etc.

En route to Nicktown, we stopped @ the Shadow Box & found a few flowerpots amid their vast collection of flowers, trees, planters, fountains, etc.

Evening movie: "Three Comrades" with Robert Taylor, Margaret Sullavan, Franchot Tone, Robert Young, etc. Beautifully poignant film of Erich Maria Remarque's tale of post-WW1 Germany & three life-long friends who share a love for dying Sullavan. 1938. An excellent story; very heartwarming but also heartbreaking.

Lights out: 11:37pm.
