Awake: 6:57am Temp 51 sleep 6+34 mostly sunny overnight @ Nicktown, PA.

Our landline phone service is out again: no dial tone... & our DSL is slow & frequently intermittent. I suspect water interference but where? This time, I called for a telephone repairman & I won't back down even if the problem goes away. The lady scheduled a repairman for Tuesday next week. Our only communication now is our cell phone with a weak signal.

Kathy did (2) laundry loads while I dumped, spread & raked gravel on our circular drive. Those (3) bags totaled (380) lbs.

Dinner: Open face bacon bit hamburger with mushroom/blue cheese sauce & potato chips.

Evening movie: "The Graduate" with Anne Bancroft, Dustin Hoffman, Katharine Ross, Murray Hamilton, etc. Landmark film of the late '60s that's still just as pungent....&...funny ...as ever. Hoffman, in his 1st major film role, plays ultra-naïve college grad who's seduced by a middle-aged woman, then falls in love with her daughter. Perfect song score by Simon & Garfunkel. 1967. Even after (40) yrs, this story gets our undivided attention.

Lights out: 12:45am.
