Awake: 5:45am Temp 67 sleep 6+15 sunny overnight @ Nicktown.

K & I attend 8:00 am Mass & then join the KK for 1.2 hrs. No breakfast for me this morning due to Rotary day & we have a special speaker: Father John Paul. Both Kathy & Donna are interested in what he has to say so Al drives us all to the meeting.

Father John Paul gave a very interesting biography followed by answering our many questions. Unfortunately, our hot meals never arrived (miscommunication) so Chuck had to improvise & order local pizza for our lunch….which was quite good & satisfying. Al makes (2) stops en route to Nicktown arriving about 2:00pm.

Then….K & I get serious about mowing more grass; a good (3 hrs 20 min) of steady action. We mowed the alley & some of our neighbor’s grass plus a section west of our motorhome.

Our blueberry bush had about (25) ripe berries today.

Dinner: Chicken noodle soup with oyster crackers + cherries & fruit salad.

Finish watching DVR movie: “King of Kings” with Jeffrey Hunter, Siobhan McKenna, Robert Ryan, Hurd Hatfield, narrated by Orson Welles, etc. The life of Christ; intelligently told & beautifully filmed; full of deeply moving moments, such as the Sermon on the Mount, Christ’s healing of the lame & many others. Not without flaws but well worthwhile. 1961. It only took us (3) tries to finish.

Lights out: 11:38pm
