Awake: 6:02am Temp 56 sleep 6+34 sunny overnight @ Nicktown.

K & I attend 8:00am Mass & then join the KK meeting for about an hr. No breakfast for me this morning….today is Rotary.

Al picks me up @ 11:25am; (1) stop en route to our meeting. Would you believe: no catered lunch again; the plan fell thru so Chuck ordered pizza. We were not very happy about that! (2) quick stops en route to Nicktown, returning @ 1:40 pm.

Talk with Zack in Seattle for (45) min. He’s a busy fellow; his company is sending him & a few other colleagues to Berkley in CA & Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh for company recruiting purposes. He also just returned from a (5) day trip to Chicago where he & Katie had a fairly pleasant visit with her folks.

We watch the recorded nat’l news & Jeopardy.

Dinner: leftover pizza slices from Rotary.

Finish watching: “The Berlin Express” with Merle Oberon, Robert Ryan, Charles Korvin, Paul Lukas, etc. Taut, suspenseful spy story set in post WWII Europe. Members of several nations combine efforts to save German statesman kidnapped by Nazi underground. 1948. Of special interest were the rarely seen original battered & burned out city scenes shortly after the war.

Afterward, we watch more of the 2008 Olympics.

Lights out: 11:29pm
