Awake: 5:40am Temp 58 sleep 5+53 2:25 am…heavy rain overnight @ Nicktown.

K & I attend 8:00 am Mass & then join the KK meeting for well over an hr. Hot Topic: AL & Donna’s 41 Anniversary + fun times when reminiscing Nicktown. Unfortunately Kathy had to report for noodle making & missed this special treat.

Later, Donna, the anniversary girl calls; she tells me Al will pick up our lawnmower from Ken since he’ll be in that part of town. “Mighty nice of Al,” I tell her.

Kathy returns from noodle making @ 1:05pm. She tells me all the noodles are made now for the dinner meals (over 180 #). Next they will start making noodles to sell in (1#) bags. She tells me, they can sell as many # as they can make, just depends on the stamina of the volunteers.

Al arrives with our Snapper mower; after unloading I thank him & begin mowing a section of grass around our circular driveway. The Snapper cuts well but the swath is small; also, with tall grass, the bag fills up fast. After taking (3) full bags over to the forest & dumping them, the mower runs out of gas. It’s just as well, this is going to wear Kathy out; now we could use a wheelbarrow.

Dinner: Italian sausage in tomato, meat spaghetti, sauce, mixed salad & fresh peach slices.

After dinner, we watch the O’Reilly Factor while I wash the dishes.

Later, DVR movie: finish watching: “The Sand Pebble” with Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, Richard Crenna, Candice Bergen, Mako, etc. McQueen gives one of his finest performances as cynical sailor on U.S. gunboat cruising China’s Yangtze River in 1926. Movie produced 1966. Very entertaining; Kathy admits it’s a good movie.

High temp=70 Lights out: 11:48pm
