Awake: 6:02 am Temp 61 sleep 6:14 intermittent rain, heavy @ times overnight @
Nicktown.

K & I attend 8:00 am Mass & then join the KK for (1.2) hrs. Bill A. brought in a tart cherry pie made by his niece; all members present got a slice & it was scrumptious.

Al & I work out a plan for driving to Rotary today; he has (6) stops, I have (2). He will take his truck; included in those stops is Al’s lawn mower: running rough. We drop that off @ Ken’s Lawnmower repair en route to Rotary…to be picked up after Rotary.

Lunch @ Rotary: fried chicken, pasta, salad & a dessert of brownies & ice cream. Return to Nicktown @ 3:00pm. Al's mower was given a new heart (diaphragm...type of fuel pump.)

During my Rotary time, Nick Skyped Kathy twice & talked with Melissa; working on a plan for a rendezvous in Washington DC for later this month. Both Katrina & Zack are not available. Nick will be on a business trip to DC & will have Eriko & Jerry along. I make reservations @ the Marriot as well as Melissa & Nick. The Footes will drive their Ford Van & we will drive our Suzuki. We look forward to a get together.

Dinner: leftover stuffed peppers.

Watch “The O’Reilly Factor.”

Finish DVR movie: “The Young Lions” with Marion Brando, Montgomery Clift, Dean Martin, Hope Lange, Barbara Rush, Maximilian Schell, etc. One of the all-time best WW2 studies, adapted by Edward Anhalt from the Irwin Shaw novel. Martin & Clift play U.S. soldiers, Brando a confused Nazi officer. 1958. Exceptionally good story & well acted.

Lights out: 12:27am
