Awake: 5:46am Temp 63 sleep 5+20 partly sunny overnight @ Nicktown, PA.

When Kathy awakes, she makes a big mixed salad to add to our dinner @ the Foote Castle later today. We add ice cubes to our cooler & bring those frozen fruit pops & salad with us to spend the afternoon with some of our family.

We arrive @ 11:59am to find Eriko & Nick playing with Jerry in the small downstairs playroom. Melissa is cooking dinner in the kitchen; Andrew is napping upstairs in the family bed; Nathan is happily walking, surveying his kingdom; their dog, Kinley, is outside laying in the shade; & Matthew is riding behind Kevin on his Trail-a-bike doing an errand in town.

We yak with Nick & Eriko & watch Jerry play with the boys' toys without them being around. Time went quickly & @ 1:30pm, dinner was announced: spaghetti with meat sauce & a mixed salad by Kathy. All present for dinner except Andrew who woke up minutes after we began eating. Lucky guy; last one to the dinner table does the dishes after age (10), Andrew is now (2 1/2).

I brought our laptop computer with us from the motorhome so Nick could straighten out a few glitches that have occurred over the yrs; plus he gave us some computer schooling updates which are always good to know. During this high tech time, Melissa & Kevin took their “all too curious” boys outside to the back yard so we could concentrate a little easier.

@ 3:30, K & I change clothes, excuse ourselves, motor to Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Indiana & attend the 4:00pm Vigil Mass. Their music (by professionals) was absolutely fantastic.

Early evening, Nick, Eriko, Jerry, Kathy & I walk to the local park for Jerry’s fun time while the Foote children are being read to & getting ready for bedtime. Jerry had a good time & was closely watched by both parents & grandparents; he is quite coordinated & dexterous for his age & tries activities that are usually done by older children.

@ 9:00pm….Melissa brings out the goodies for the birthday people of August: Eriko, Nick & me… a pecan cake which she made plus ice cream. What a tasty surprise! Thanks again Melissa.

K & I return to Nicktown @ 10:35pm. No movie tonight.

Lights out: 12:08am
