Awake: 6:38am sleep 7+40 clear sky overnight @ Falls Church, Virginia.

K & I have breakfast @ the concierge lounge on floor (16), then pack our suitcases, load the Suzuki & check out of the Marriott in Fairview Park. Drive to the Westin (17) min, pick up Eriko & Jerry + their BIG suitcase & start driving to PA @ 9:35am. Eriko & Jerry woke up early with Nick, had breakfast, packed & were ready to go.

As we head away from the busy city traffic, even using our Lady Garmin, we made (2) wrong turns @ the intersection called: “seven corners.” Fortunately they were easily rectified; and while on I-495, we had our car washed by a fast moving heavy downpour; so much for that “clear sky” I reported earlier this morning. Jerry was entertaining as we were merely motoring along on I-66: talking into his microphone, singing + admiring his new toy school bus. When the rain subsided, Jerry was very alert to the heavy road repair equipment along I-66, pointing & telling us what he was seeing.

Basically we are reversing our course today except for (3) stops; a comfort stop shortly after exiting I-66; fuel stop @ Boyce, VA, 15.5 gal @ 3.859 per gallon; & lunch & groceries @ Costco in Winchester, VA. After Costco, Jerry took a (3.5) hr nap which was great because he started waking up when we were close to the Foote castle in Indiana, PA arriving @ 4:46pm.

Even before unloading the Suzuki, Jerry was busy checking out the toys of the Foote Boys. K & I stayed about ½ hr & then returned to our coach in Nicktown @ 6:10pm.

Dinner: tuna salad with whole grain bread.

Late DVR movie: “The Secret Garden.” We watch (48) min & will finish tomorrow.

Lights out: 11:35pm
